It is tough to capture a once in a lifetime experience in a single blog. I will not even attempt it. Instead, I put together an extensive blog series to walk, no run, through my journey to run a 100 mile trail race. After a victory lap of sorts to visit family in northern Wisconsin and to tour as much of Chicago as we could in a day and a half, home was welcome.
